When I first stumbled upon this site I thought it may have been some sort of cute hoax, but upon further examination it became eveident that this is a genuine merchant selling DIAPERS for pet birds such as Parrots, Cockatiels and the like. They even have an "As Seen On TV" logo displayed on their site, but I've never seen it on my TV. They must have snuck it in between Dave Oreck and Robert Tilton while I was in the bathroom.

Apparently the basic concept is to protect your carpets and furniture from droppings when you let the bird have the run of your house. Not a bad idea.......but.......

These folks haff gone waaaay too far, man. Some of these getups are as queer as a parrot in a pine tree.

The product line ranges from basic diapers in pastel colors to full "flight suits" and stupid holiday costumes. There's even a fleece warmup suit. Pet freaks will leave no stone unturned, I tell ya.

Whenever I see ridiculous pet products like this, I can't help but remember the wife of a guy I used to work for. She used to stop by the shop all the time with her spoiled little lap dog dressed up in silly outfits. At Christmas time, he'd be in a Santa suit, Fourth of July he's be Uncle Sam, you know the drill.

One cold, rainy, slushy day she broght him in with a little doggie raincoat and little rubber rain boots on his hind feet.

I asked her "why no boots for the front feet, too?".

At that, her eyes bugged out, her face turned beet red, and you could just see the steam puffing out of her ears when she exclaimed "Why in the world would I put BOOTS on his HANDS!?!?!?!"

HAHAHAHAHAHA pet freaks are just too much for me sometimes.
